In sintesi

C'è un nuovo sceriffo in città: il veterano della guerra in Iraq e Afghanistan, sergente James Heller è sulle tracce del famigerato Alex Mercer, che ritiene responsabile per la morte della sua famiglia. Infettato dallo stesso Mercer e così "maledetto" dagli stessi poteri metamorfici del suo obbiettivo designato, Mercer si imbarcherà in una crociata pericolosissima, nel cuore di una New York devastata dall'arma biologica definitiva. Il problema non è se riuscirà a sopravvivere, ma solo se prima di esalara l'ultimo respiro sarà riuscito a vendicarsi...
